In 1919 the count Camillo Negroni, a regular customer of the Casino Bar, used to order his Americano with a bit more "Kick". The bartender, Fosco Scarselli responded by switching the soda-water for gin. This cocktail became quite popular at the bar and other customers start to order "one of Count Negroni's drinks". No wonder it just became the Negroni. It's one of the most popular drinks, served in nearly every bar worldwide and a pioneer in this days to bring back classic cocktails.
